We are wondering if the female Skunk is pregnant. She appears to be a lot more rounded than the male. She is also pulling
every bit of straw she can find to build a nest.
At present we do not want to feel if she is pregnant or not as we may get our fingers taken off.
We are of the opinion now that Ziva is just on the overweight side to put it kindly. We feel she probably would have
had babies by now and it is getting a little late in the year to be having babies.

After much deliberation we are now wondering if we want to breed our Skunks. They are truly wonderous animals but I do
believe it takes a special person to give these animals a home.
It is now illigel to descent skunks in the Uk, so unless skunks are imported all baby skunks for sale will be fully scented.
I do honestly believe that at some time no matter how good an owner you are, at some point you will be scented. I am wondering
how many people will keep their Skunks when this happens. I believe we will come to a point were skunks will be passed onto
new homes like sweets over a shop counter. I do hope I am wrong.
Skunks are not like cats and dogs, yes they can be trained to use a litter tray but they will have accidents, how many
people will put up with that.
I am waiting to see what happens if a family pet skunk decides to bite a baby / toddler, I am wodering what agencies
will become involved, social services etc.
I am not saying these will definately happen but in my opinion it is worth sitting back and monitoring the situation.
I do know of many dedicated skunk owners and the above comment is not directed at them. It is directed at the people
who see the adorable tame pet for sale and decide they are so gorgeous they have to have one. I am sorry it does happen. How
many of these people will still have a skunk after a year.
