Scientific Name     Mephitis mephitis

On the 10th of July 2008 we introduced a sexed pair of skunks to our family. Although it has only been a few days we have found these animals to be gorgeous and amazing.
We have named the male Jethro and the female Ziva. Ziva is the standard black and white skunk whilst Jethro is more white / cream with patches of black.
Ziva is descented and Jethro has still got his scent glands. Have to make sure we don't upset him !!!.

Unfortunatly at the present time we do not have any photo's of Jethro. He is quite shy and elusive. As soon as we get some pictures we will post them on here. We also apologise for the quality of the photo's of Ziva as she is shy.

Jethro and Ziva.

This is Ziva tucking into some scrambled eggs and mealworms.

At long last some decent pictures of the male Skunk, Jethro
